Overview
If you're staying around Montego Bay, this is the easy way to see Negril's two big draws in one day: the long, soft sands of Seven Mile Beach and the sunset from the cliffs at Rick's Café.
Your driver collects you in the late morning for the drive west along the coast, about an hour and a half. Spend the afternoon on Seven Mile Beach: swim in the clear water, walk the sand, and pick a beach bar for grilled fish or jerk chicken. Then head to the West End, where the flat beach gives way to limestone cliffs.
Rick's Café has been perched on these cliffs since 1974. Arrive in good time to watch local divers leap from the cliffs into the sea, and to try the jump yourself if you dare. As the sun drops, a live band plays reggae and the whole terrace turns to face the horizon. After sunset, your driver takes you back to your hotel.
