Booking terms and conditions
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Part A — About these terms
A1. Who you are contracting with
For every booking — wherever you live — your contract is with SKYRAY TRAVEL S.L. ("SkyRay Travel", "we", "us"), CIF B22670764, Calle Laureà Miró 230, 08950 Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona), Spain. Madrid office: C/ Marcelino Roa Vázquez 17, 28017 Madrid. Contact: booking@skyraytravel.com, phone and WhatsApp +34 623 99 11 55.
The website skyraytravel.com is operated by SKY RAY LTD (England and Wales, company number 16196679). SKY RAY LTD only provides the website; it does not sell or provide travel services and is not a party to your booking.
A2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to everything you book with us: packages (Part B), single travel services such as a hotel, tour, activity, day boat rental or car hire (Part C), and flights (Part D). Part E applies to all bookings. Your booking confirmation will say clearly which type of booking you have made.
If you live in the United Kingdom, this English version sets out your rights under UK law, in particular the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. If you live in Spain or elsewhere in the European Union, the equivalent rules of Spanish law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, Book IV, which implements EU Directive 2015/2302) apply; they are set out in the Spanish version of these terms, and the result is materially the same.
A3. How a booking is made
- Enquiry. You send an enquiry through the website, by email, phone or WhatsApp. An enquiry is not a booking and does not commit you or us.
- Quote. We check availability with our suppliers and send you a written quote with the details of the trip, the total price, the payment plan, the cancellation charges and all the other information the law requires before you book (for packages, including the standard information form in the Annex). The quote and the booking confirmation are the particular conditions of your trip.
- Acceptance and payment. You accept the quote in writing and pay the deposit (or the full price, where the quote says so).
- Confirmation. The contract exists when we send you our written booking confirmation. We send it on a durable medium, such as an email or PDF, together with these terms. Please keep a copy.
The person who makes the booking must be at least 18 years old, accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in the booking, and is responsible for paying for it.
A4. Prices and currencies
Prices on the website are "from" prices for guidance. The price you pay is the total price in your quote and confirmation, which includes all taxes, fees and charges known at the time and tells you about any extra costs that cannot be calculated in advance (for example local tourist taxes payable at the hotel). Prices converted between pounds (GBP) and euros (EUR) on the website use an indicative exchange rate; your quote states the currency in which you will pay.
A5. Deposit and payment
- Deposit: 25% of the total price, payable when you accept the quote and deducted from the final price. Where a supplier requires full or larger payment at booking (for example some flight tickets or special offers), your quote will say so before you book.
- Balance: payable according to the payment plan and by the date stated in your quote and confirmation. If you book after that date, the full price is payable at once.
- Payment methods: as stated in your quote.
If the balance is not paid on time, we will remind you. If it is still not paid, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges in your particular conditions.
Part B — Packages
B1. When your booking is a package
Your booking is a package if we combine at least two different types of travel service — passenger transport, accommodation, vehicle rental, or another tourist service such as a tour or activity — for the purpose of the same trip, and, for example, you book them in one booking, pay a total price, or book them with us in the same visit. Trips lasting less than 24 hours without an overnight stay are not packages. Other tourist services such as tours only turn a booking into a package when they are a significant part of it.
If your booking is a package, you have the rights in this Part B and in the standard information form in the Annex. SKYRAY TRAVEL S.L. is the organiser and is fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole. Where we sell a package organised by another company, your confirmation names the organiser and tells you who is responsible for what.
B2. Information before you book
Before you book, we give you the main characteristics of the package (destinations, itinerary, dates, number of nights, transport, accommodation, meals, activities included, group size where relevant, language of any guided activities, whether the trip is suitable for people with reduced mobility), our identity and contact details, the total price and payment plan, any minimum number of participants, general information on passport and visa requirements and health formalities, the cancellation charges, and information on travel insurance. This information forms part of the contract and will not change unless we both agree.
B3. Price
The price of your package is fixed when we confirm your booking. We do not reserve the right to increase it after booking.
B4. Changes by us before departure
We may make insignificant changes to your package and will tell you about them clearly on a durable medium. If we have to make a significant change to the main characteristics of the package, or cannot meet a special requirement we accepted, we will tell you without undue delay, and you may, within the reasonable period we give you:
- accept the change;
- accept a substitute package, where we can offer one (with a price reduction if it is of lower quality or cost); or
- cancel the contract without paying any cancellation charge.
If you do not reply within that period, we will treat the contract as cancelled and refund all your payments. If you cancel, we will refund all payments without undue delay and in any event within 14 days. Where appropriate you may also be entitled to compensation.
B5. Changes requested by you
If you ask to change your booking (for example dates, services or the number of travellers), we will try to help but cannot guarantee it. If a change is possible and the suppliers charge for it, we will tell you the extra cost before you confirm the change, and you pay it. If the change cannot be made, you may keep your booking as it is or cancel it under B6.
B6. If you cancel
You can cancel your package at any time before it starts by telling us in writing. We will charge the cancellation fee set out in your particular conditions (quote and confirmation). It is appropriate and justifiable: it depends on how long before departure you cancel and reflects the costs we cannot recover from our suppliers, less the savings and the income we obtain by re-using the services. Non-refundable elements (for example certain flight tickets) are identified in your quote.
If you ask, we will explain how the fee was calculated. We will refund what you have paid, minus the cancellation fee, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days.
No fee in exceptional circumstances. You may cancel without paying any fee if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at your destination or in its immediate vicinity significantly affect the package or your transport to the destination — for example serious security problems or a natural disaster. Official travel advice (such as the FCDO's) is an important factor in deciding this. You will receive a full refund, but no additional compensation.
There is no 14-day "cooling-off" right for packages booked at a distance (online, by email or phone). If you live in the EU and your package contract was concluded away from our business premises, you may withdraw from it within 14 days without giving a reason (art. 160.5 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007).
B7. If we cancel
We may cancel your package before departure and refund everything you have paid, without further compensation, only if:
- fewer people have booked than the minimum stated in your contract, and we tell you within the period stated in the contract, which will be no later than 20 days before departure for trips of more than 6 days, 7 days before for trips of 2 to 6 days, and 48 hours before for trips of less than 2 days; or
- we cannot perform the contract because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, and we tell you without undue delay before departure.
In any other case, if we cancel you will receive a full refund within 14 days and, where appropriate, compensation.
B8. Transferring your booking
You may transfer your package to someone who meets all the conditions for it (for example, age or documentation requirements) by telling us on a durable medium at least 7 days before departure. You and the new traveller are jointly responsible for paying any balance and the reasonable costs of the transfer, which will not exceed the actual costs we incur (for example, airline name-change charges). We will give you proof of those costs.
B9. During your trip
- Tell us straight away if any service is not provided as agreed, so that we can put it right. Emergency contact: +34 623 99 11 55 (phone and WhatsApp) or booking@skyraytravel.com — and tell the local supplier too. If you do not tell us promptly, it may affect any compensation you are entitled to.
- We will fix the problem within a reasonable time unless this is impossible or the cost is disproportionate. If a significant part of the package cannot be provided, we will offer suitable alternatives at no extra cost.
- You may be entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation where services are not performed or are performed improperly, unless the problem is attributable to you, to a third party unconnected with the package and unforeseeable or unavoidable, or to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
- If the problem substantially affects the package and we do not fix it, you may terminate the package without a fee and, where transport is included, we will bring you home by equivalent transport at no extra cost.
- If you cannot return as planned because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, we will pay for necessary accommodation, where possible of an equivalent category, for up to three nights per traveller, unless longer periods apply under passenger-rights law. This limit does not apply to people with reduced mobility and their companions, pregnant women, unaccompanied minors or people needing specific medical assistance, provided you told us about those needs at least 48 hours before the start of the package.
- We will give you appropriate assistance without undue delay if you are in difficulty, including information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance, and help to make remote communications and find alternative travel arrangements.
B10. Our liability
We are responsible for the proper performance of all the travel services in your package, whether we or our suppliers provide them. Where international conventions (for example the Montreal Convention for air travel, or the Athens Convention for sea travel) limit what a supplier has to pay, the same limits apply to us. Otherwise, our liability for damage other than personal injury, or damage caused intentionally or negligently, is limited to three times the total price of the package. Your rights under air passenger-rights law (UK Regulation 261/2004 and EU Regulation 261/2004) are not affected; any compensation paid under them is deducted from compensation under these terms.
B11. Protection if we become insolvent
- Flights and flight-inclusive packages sold to customers in the UK are provided under the ATOL of our partner [[ATOL PARTNER NAME, ATOL NUMBER]]. You will receive an ATOL Certificate listing what is protected.
- Other packages: [[GUARANTEE]]
If services are denied because of our insolvency, you can contact the protection provider directly.
B12. Linked travel arrangements
If, after booking one travel service with us, you book another service for the same trip through us or through a link we send you, and this does not form a package, it may be a "linked travel arrangement". In that case we will give you the required information form before you book, which explains that you do not have package rights and what insolvency protection applies.
Part C — Single travel services (hotel, tour, activity, day boat rental, car hire)
C1. Our role
When you book a single travel service that is not part of a package, we act as an agent: we arrange the booking with the supplier (the hotel, tour or activity operator, boat operator or car-hire company), who provides the service under its own terms. Your quote and confirmation name the supplier and include its main terms — in particular its cancellation, change and deposit rules. We are responsible for making the booking correctly and for passing on accurate information; the supplier is responsible for providing the service.
If you book several services for the same trip with us at the same time, they may together form a package — in that case Part B applies instead, and your confirmation will say so.
C2. Cancellation and changes
Cancellation and change charges for single services are the supplier's, shown in your quote before you book. The legal 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts does not apply to accommodation, vehicle rental, or leisure services (such as tours, activities and boat rental) booked for a specific date or period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28(1)(h); in Spain, art. 103(l) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007).
C3. Day boat rental and car hire
The operator's conditions — for boats, for example skipper or licence requirements, security deposit, fuel, maximum number of passengers, minimum age and cancellation for bad weather; for cars, driver age and licence, deposit or credit card, insurance and excess, fuel and cross-border rules — are part of your quote. Please read them before you book. For safety reasons, the boat operator or skipper has the final say on whether sea and weather conditions allow the trip to go ahead.
Part D — Flights
D1. How flight bookings work
Our flight search on vuelos.skyraytravel.com is a booking engine run for us by our technology provider, Nexit. When you book a flight on its own (not as part of a package), your contract of carriage is with the airline, under its conditions of carriage and fare rules (baggage, changes, cancellations, refunds). The fare rules are shown before you book. The booking engine tells you how to pay, the payment deadline and when your ticket will be issued; fares are only guaranteed once the ticket has been issued.
D2. Protection for UK customers
Flights and flight-inclusive trips sold to customers in the UK are provided under the ATOL of our partner [[ATOL PARTNER NAME, ATOL NUMBER]]. You will receive an ATOL Certificate listing what is protected.
D3. Changes, cancellations and delays
Changes and cancellations are subject to the airline's fare rules. If the airline cancels or delays your flight, or denies you boarding, you may have rights to assistance, a refund or compensation under UK or EU air passenger-rights law (Regulation (EC) 261/2004 and its UK equivalent); claims are made against the airline, and we will help you. Please report problems — especially lost or damaged baggage — to the airline at the airport before you leave it.
D4. Separate tickets
If you book separate flights on separate tickets (for example, to connect with a main flight), each airline is only responsible for its own flight. If one flight is delayed and you miss the next, the second airline does not have to carry you or refund you. Allow plenty of time between flights on separate tickets. This does not apply to flights that are part of a package, for which we are responsible under Part B.
Part E — For all bookings
E1. Passports, visas and health
Before you book, we give you general information on passport and visa requirements, including the approximate time needed to get visas, and on health formalities for your destination, for nationals of the UK and the EU. If you hold another nationality, please tell us so that we can point you to the right information. You are responsible for having a valid passport, visa, entry authorisation (for example ETIAS, ESTA or a UK ETA) and any health documents, and for checking official advice — in the UK, gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice; in Spain, exteriores.gob.es.
E2. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses and repatriation.
E3. Special requirements and reduced mobility
Please tell us before you book about any special requirement (for example reduced mobility, medical needs or dietary requirements). We will tell you whether the trip is generally suitable and pass the request to the suppliers, but we can only guarantee it if we confirm it in writing.
E4. Your data
We use your personal data as described in our Privacy policy.
E5. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please see our Complaints and dispute resolution page. Problems during the trip should be reported straight away (see B9). Claims about package travel must be brought within the time limits set by law (in Spain, two years).
E6. Applicable law and courts
These terms and your contract are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live — for UK residents, in particular the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 — and you can bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
Annex — Standard information form for package travel contracts
Given to you before you book a package. Statutory text of Schedule 2 to the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (form where hyperlinks can be used).
Part 1
The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Therefore, you will benefit from all EU rights applying to packages. SKYRAY TRAVEL S.L. will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole. Additionally, as required by law, SKYRAY TRAVEL S.L. has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
Part 2 — Key rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018
- Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the package travel contract.
- There is always at least one trader who is liable for the proper performance of all the travel services included in the contract.
- Travellers are given an emergency number or details of a contact point where they can get in touch with the organiser or travel agent.
- Travellers may transfer the package to another person, on reasonable notice and possibly subject to additional costs.
- The price of the package may only be increased if specific costs rise (for instance fuel prices), and if expressly provided for in the contract, and in any event not later than 20 days before the start of the package. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the price of the package, the traveller may terminate the contract. If the organiser reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has a right to a price reduction if there is a decrease in the relevant costs.
- Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee and get a full refund of any payments if any of the essential elements of the package, other than the price, are changed significantly. If before the start of the package the trader responsible for the package cancels the package, travellers are entitled to a refund and compensation where appropriate.
- Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee before the start of the package in the event of exceptional circumstances, for instance if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the package.
- Additionally, travellers may at any time before the start of the package terminate the contract in return for an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.
- If, after the start of the package, significant elements of the package cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee, where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the package and the organiser fails to remedy the problem.
- Travellers are also entitled to a price reduction or compensation for damages or both where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.
- The organiser has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty.
- If the organiser or the retailer becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded. If the organiser or, where applicable, the retailer becomes insolvent after the start of the package and if transport is included in the package, repatriation of the travellers is secured. SKYRAY TRAVEL S.L. has taken out insolvency protection with [[GUARANTEE]]. Travellers may contact this entity or, where applicable, the competent authority if services are denied because of SKYRAY TRAVEL S.L.'s insolvency.
