Lake Como Villas Boat Tour
Overview
Lake Como's grandest villas were built to be seen from the water, and this shared boat trip takes you close to the best of them in about an hour and a half. You set off from Menaggio, Tremezzo or Bellagio and loop back to where you started.
Glide past Villa Carlotta and its gardens, then the terraces of Villa del Balbianello on its wooded point, the villa used in the Bond film Casino Royale. The route continues to Villa la Cassinella and Villa Balbiano, around Isola Comacina, the lake's only island, and on to Villa Melzi in Bellagio and Villa Monastero in Varenna.
It's an easy, relaxed way to see the classic views without planning ferry connections. It fits neatly into a half day, before lunch or ahead of an evening aperitivo.
