Teide Sunset, Dinner and Stargazing
Overview
Above the clouds, Teide National Park has some of the clearest night skies in Europe, and this evening trip makes the most of them. A coach collects you in the afternoon and climbs into the park, stopping on the way for views across the caldera.
You watch the sun set over the sea of clouds with a toast, then sit down to a three-course dinner with wine at a restaurant inside the national park. After dark, a guide certified by the Starlight Foundation sets up telescopes and uses a laser pointer to trace the constellations, planets and, when the season is right, the Milky Way.
It gets cold at altitude after sunset, even in summer, so bring a warm jacket. Tours run in English, German, French or Dutch, one language per group, with pickups from the south and the north of Tenerife.
