Teide National Park and Masca Day Trip
Overview
See the best of Tenerife in one day without driving the mountain roads yourself. An air-conditioned coach collects you from your hotel in the south and climbs into Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the lava pillars of Los Roques de García with the volcano behind them. At 3,718 metres, Teide is the highest peak in Spain.
From the park you drop down to the green north coast: Icod de los Vinos and its ancient dragon tree, then Garachico, a harbour town rebuilt after a 1706 eruption, with natural rock pools by the sea. The last stretch winds through the Teno mountains to Masca, a hamlet perched above a deep ravine, before returning south via Santiago del Teide.
An English-speaking guide explains the geology and history along the way. The Teide cable car is not included on this full-day route; ask us if you would like to add it on a separate half-day trip.

No, there isn't time on this full-day route. We can book a separate half-day Teide trip with the cable car.
A warm layer, sun cream and sunglasses: it can be much cooler and sunnier in the national park than on the coast. Lunch is not included, so bring some cash.
The road to Masca is narrow with many bends. If you get travel sick, sit near the front and take your usual remedy before setting off.
