Nusa Penida Island Day Trip
Overview
Nusa Penida is a hilly island off Bali's south-east coast, known for dramatic limestone cliffs and turquoise bays. The classic day trip takes you to its west coast, where the most famous viewpoints are.
After an early pickup, you take a fast boat across the strait, usually from Sanur. On the island, your driver-guide takes you by car to Kelingking Beach, where the headland curves out into the sea in a shape often compared to a T-rex. Then continue to Broken Beach, a sea arch around a circular bay, and Angel's Billabong, a natural rock pool on the edge of the ocean. Most trips finish at a beach such as Crystal Bay for a swim before the boat back.
The island's roads are narrow and bumpy, so it is a long but rewarding day. Some versions add snorkelling with manta rays; ask us if you would like that option.

The path is very steep and there isn't usually enough time on a day trip. Most visitors enjoy the view from the top, which is the famous one.
