Formentera Day Trip from Ibiza by Ferry and Coach
Overview
Formentera is the smallest of the inhabited Balearic Islands, flat, sandy and surrounded by some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean. It's only about 30 minutes by fast ferry from Ibiza Town, which makes it an easy and rewarding day trip.
You cross to the port of La Savina and meet your guide and coach. The tour takes in the salt flats of Ses Salines, part of a protected natural park, and Sant Francesc Xavier, the whitewashed island capital with its fortress-like church. The coach then crosses the island to La Mola, the high plateau at the eastern end, where the lighthouse stands above the cliffs.
There's a stop at one of the beaches, such as Es Pujols or Migjorn, with time to swim, and free time for lunch before the ferry back to Ibiza in the late afternoon.
