Positano, Amalfi & Ravello Day Trip from Sorrento
Overview
Let someone else drive the Amalfi Drive. This guided day trip leaves Sorrento by air-conditioned minibus and follows the famous coast road as it winds along the cliffs, with the Li Galli islets below you.
The first stop is Positano, with around 90 minutes to walk down through the village to the beach and the majolica-domed church of Santa Maria Assunta. From April to October you then travel to Amalfi by boat, seeing the coast from the sea; in winter the minibus takes the road. In Amalfi there's time for the cathedral of Sant'Andrea and its striped façade, and for lunch at a place of your choice.
The day ends up in the hills at Ravello, 350 metres above the sea, where you can visit the gardens of Villa Rufolo or simply enjoy the calm of the piazza before the drive back to Sorrento. An official guide stays with the group all day, and groups are kept to a maximum of 21.
