You begin on Tahiti, where Papeete, the capital, looks across the lagoon towards Moorea. A fast catamaran then takes you to Moorea, Tahiti's sister island, for its beaches and relaxed Polynesian atmosphere. You finish with a short flight to Bora Bora, known as the Pearl of the Pacific, where Mount Otemanu rises above a turquoise lagoon ringed by small islands.
This is the 2/3-star hotels version of the journey: a more accessible version that combines practical accommodation with island discovery, at the Maitai Express on Tahiti, Cook's Bay Resort & Suite on Moorea and the Royal Bora Bora, with car rental on Moorea and Bora Bora.
