Swim with Wild Dolphins off Tamarin
Overview
Spinner and bottlenose dolphins spend their mornings resting in the calm bays of the west coast, and this small-group speedboat trip goes out early to find them. You meet at the jetty in Black River, get your life jacket and a briefing about the dolphins, and head out along the coast towards Tamarin Bay.
When the skipper finds a pod, and conditions allow, you slip into the water with mask and snorkel to watch them swim below you. Good operators keep their distance, don't chase the dolphins and let the animals decide how close to come, and that's the kind of trip we book. Afterwards, the boat moves to a reef for a snorkelling session among the fish before heading back to shore.
It's a short morning trip, so you're back in time for a late breakfast by the pool. Sightings are very likely but never guaranteed, as these are wild animals.

No. The dolphins are wild. Sightings off the west coast are very frequent, but we can't promise them on a given morning.
No. You can watch from the boat. If you do swim, you'll wear a life jacket and should be comfortable in open water.
