Elaphiti Islands Cruise from Dubrovnik
Overview
The Elaphiti Islands lie just north-west of Dubrovnik, and three of them make a perfect day at sea: Koločep, Šipan and Lopud. There are no cars on Koločep and Lopud and only a few on Šipan, so the pace is slow, the water is clear and the villages are quiet.
The boat leaves Gruž harbour at 10:00. First stop is Koločep, with time for a swim or a walk through the pines. Lunch is served on board as you sail on to Šipan, the largest of the islands, with its old stone houses and harbour villages. The afternoon is spent on Lopud, where you can walk over the island to the sandy bay of Šunj or stay on the waterfront promenade. You're back in Gruž at about 17:45.
It's an easy, relaxed day that suits all ages. Bring swimwear, a towel and sun cream.
