Harrison's Cave Tram Tour
Overview
Deep in the green centre of the island, Harrison's Cave is a network of limestone caverns carved by water over thousands of years. You explore it on an electric tram that winds down through a tunnel into the heart of the cave, with a guide explaining the geology, history and folklore along the way.
Inside, the ceilings bristle with stalactites, stalagmites rise from the floor, and crystal-clear streams run past you and spill over rock ledges into still pools. At points the tram stops so you can step off, look up at the tallest chambers and take photos.
Back on the surface, the eco-adventure park around the cave has a tropical nature trail, a bird aviary and the Mount Gay rum history exhibit, plus a pool and grill where you can stop for lunch. It's a good choice for a cooler, shaded half day, and an easy one for children and older travellers. We can add return transport from your hotel.
