Catamaran Lunch Cruise with Turtle and Shipwreck Snorkelling
Overview
This is the Barbados day on the water that almost everyone books. You board a shared catamaran and sail along the calm Caribbean side of the island, with the crew handing round drinks and pointing out the coastline as you go.
The trip makes three stops. First, the turtles: slip into the water with a mask and snorkel and swim alongside the sea turtles that graze along the west coast. Next, a shallow shipwreck, where shoals of tropical fish gather around the hull and the visibility is usually excellent. Finally, a quiet bay where you can swim, walk on the beach or stretch out on deck.
While the boat is at anchor, lunch is served on board, typically a buffet, with wine and other drinks included. Snorkel gear and a quick lesson from the crew are part of the day, so first-timers are fine. Transport from your hotel on the west or south coast is included.
