Overview
Villa Romana is a modern four-star hotel in the centre of Minori, a relaxed seaside town between Amalfi and Maiori. It takes its name from the Roman seaside villa a few steps away, a reminder that wealthy Romans holidayed here two thousand years ago. The beach is about 270 metres from the door.
The pool, open from May to September, sits among terraced gardens scented with lemons and edged with bougainvillea, with a snack bar for drinks and light lunches. Pool access is booked in morning and afternoon slots, which keeps it calm. From October to June, the Otium Spa offers a Roman-style bathing ritual and treatments.
Rooms run from compact Smart doubles to Classic, Comfort, Superior and Family rooms. The restaurant serves contemporary dishes rooted in Campanian cooking, and there's an American bar. Minori is on the coastal bus and ferry routes, so Amalfi and Ravello are easy to reach, and the town's pastry shops are worth the trip on their own.
