Overview
Olivi sits among olive trees on the Sirmione peninsula, about 150 metres from the lake and a ten-minute walk from the Scaliger Castle and the old town. It's a quiet hotel, built for slow days by the pool and evenings in Sirmione's lanes.
The gardens have outdoor pools with loungers and parasols. The Natural Spa uses salt-rich water, with a heated outdoor pool and a salt pool kept at around 36°C, plus steam and relaxation areas. Many rooms have terraces or balconies, and some look out over the lake. The hotel also has a lounge bar and its own restaurants for lunch and dinner.
Sirmione's historic centre is closed to most traffic. If you drive, the hotel registers your number plate before you arrive, and there is paid parking on site. It's a good base for a boat trip round the peninsula, a day in Verona or an afternoon at Gardaland.
