Overview
Grand Hotel Menaggio sits right on the water in the centre of Menaggio, where Lake Como's branches meet, looking straight across to Bellagio. The building began life as a 19th-century lakeside villa, and a major restoration was completed in 2025. The interiors now use soft aquamarine and turquoise tones.
Walk through the lobby and you're at the pool: sun loungers and parasols on a terrace above the lake, with the mountains behind Bellagio as the backdrop. Pool towels are included. Breakfast is a generous buffet in a bright room with floor-to-ceiling windows, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan choices. La Veranda restaurant and the American Bar take care of the evenings.
Menaggio's promenade, piazzas and ferry pier are on the doorstep, so Bellagio, Varenna and Villa Carlotta are all a short boat ride away. Rooms range from standard to lake-view rooms with balconies and suites.

No. The ferry pier is a short walk away, and boats link Menaggio with Bellagio, Varenna and the other lake villages throughout the day.
Fly to Milan. We can arrange a private transfer to the hotel, or combine train and ferry via Varenna.
For the classic Lake Como view, choose a lake-view room, ideally with a balcony. Standard rooms are the best value if you'll be out on the boats all day.
