Overview
Kaani Palm Beach sits right on the sand on Maafushi, the liveliest guesthouse island in the Maldives and just 35 minutes by speedboat from the airport. Step out of the lobby and you're on the beach; climb to the top and there's an infinity pool looking straight out to sea.
Most rooms are around 31 m² with a private balcony, facing either the ocean or the island, and family rooms and a four-person sea-view room give groups more space. There's also a compact interior room if you plan to spend your days on the water anyway.
Eat on the beachfront terrace or up on the roof, book a massage at the Sampa Spa and use the gym, which is open to guests of every Kaani hotel. On Tuesdays there's a film on the beach and on Saturday nights a live DJ. The hotel runs its own excursions, from reef snorkelling and sandbank picnics to whale shark trips, and Maafushi's shops, cafés and dive centres are all a short walk away.
