Overview
Bliss Dhigurah is a 19-room boutique hotel on Dhigurah, a long, narrow island in South Ari Atoll where whale sharks are seen in every month of the year. The island is about 4 km long and fringed by soft white sand, with a bikini beach you can swim from and a sandbank at its tip that locals call Thundi.
Rooms come in six types: Compact rooms for solo travellers, Deluxe and Twin rooms, a Suite with a bathtub, Family rooms made of two connecting rooms, and Lofts with a private patio for friends travelling together.
Hermit's restaurant cooks both Maldivian dishes and comfort food, the bar mixes smoothies and mocktails, and there's a jacuzzi and the Zen Spa for slow afternoons. The hotel's own PADI dive centre goes out daily, and its excursions (whale shark and manta snorkelling, sandbank picnics, fishing) run on a flexible schedule, so you don't need to book ahead. Getting here takes about two hours by shared speedboat, or a 20-minute domestic flight plus a short boat ride.

There are three options: a shared speedboat from the airport (about two hours, twice a day), a 20-minute domestic flight to Maamigili followed by a 20-minute boat ride, or a seaplane. We'll pick the best fit for your flight times.
All year round in South Ari Atoll. They're easiest to spot on calm, sunny days, but sightings are never guaranteed because they are wild animals.
Dhigurah is an inhabited local island, so alcohol isn't served and swimwear is for the bikini beach and excursion boats. Dress modestly in the village; many guests add a day trip to a resort if they'd like a drink.
