Amari Koh Samui sits on a quiet stretch of Chaweng Beach, the island's longest, about 10 minutes from Samui airport and a five-minute walk from the restaurants and bars of Chaweng town. You get the calm of a beachfront resort with the island's liveliest area on your doorstep.
Rooms are spread across three wings: the Garden Wing and Thai Village around the pools, and the Beach Wing with ocean-view rooms and suites. Every room has a balcony, and families can choose Deluxe Family rooms or two-bedroom Family Suites.
There are three themed pools, a children's splash pool, a Kids' Club and Breeze Spa, and a dive centre on site if you want to try scuba. Breakfast is at the Amaya Food Gallery, with Italian and seafood at Prego and drinks with your feet in the sand at Aqua Eatery & Bar. Fisherman's Village in Bophut and Wat Plai Laem are about 15 minutes away.
