Sorrento Sea Kayak to the Baths of Queen Giovanna
Overview
Paddle out from Sorrento's old fishing harbour and see the coast the way the locals do. This guided small-group kayak tour starts at Marina Grande, where you're fitted with a life vest and given a short briefing, so no experience is needed.
You follow the shoreline west past small coves and quiet beaches to the Baths of Queen Giovanna, a natural sea pool enclosed by rocks and the ruins of a Roman villa. You stop here for about half an hour to swim and look around before paddling back to the harbour.
The instructors are qualified, and dry bags and waterproof phone cases keep your things safe. There's a hot shower and toilet at the base, and the operator shares photos and videos of your trip. A sunset departure is also available in summer, when the light turns the cliffs gold.
