Sorrento Farm Visit with Mozzarella, Olive Oil & Limoncello
Overview
Spend a morning on a working family farm in the hills of the Sorrento Peninsula and taste the produce the area is known for. Fattoria Terranova, run by the same family for generations, sits at Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, where you can see both the Bay of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno.
A member of the family walks you through the Mediterranean gardens and scrubland, explaining how the herbs, vegetables, olives and lemons are grown and used. Back at the farmhouse, you taste bruschetta and home-made bread with the farm's olive oil, watch a pizza demonstration and join in as the cheesemaker stretches fresh mozzarella by hand.
A light lunch follows, finished with a warm sfogliatella pastry, coffee and the farm's own limoncello and liqueurs, with water and wine throughout. Transfers from Sorrento can be added, and the visit combines well with a relaxed afternoon back at your hotel.
