Zoomarine Algarve
Overview
Zoomarine, in Guia just outside Albufeira, is the Algarve's big family day out: a marine park, zoo and fun park in one, with more than 30 attractions. The day is built around the presentations, where dolphins, sea lions and birds of prey show what they can do while the trainers explain how they live in the wild.
Between shows you can walk through the zoological habitats and aquariums, ride the fairground attractions, including the new Nautilus roller coaster, and cool off in the park's water areas. There's also a 4D cinema and restaurants for lunch.
Zoomarine runs Porto d'Abrigo, set up in 2002 as Portugal's first rehabilitation centre for marine species. For a closer encounter, the Dolphin Emotions programmes let you get in the water with the dolphins, from age six, at an extra cost. The park is open seasonally, from March to November.

Frequently asked questions
It opens seasonally. In 2026 the park is open from 12 March to 28 November. Opening hours change through the season.
It's on the main road at Guia, about 15 minutes by car from Albufeira. We can add transfers or a car to your booking.
The Dolphin Encounter programme is open from age six and the Premium programme from age eight. Both cost extra and must be booked ahead.
