Ponta da Piedade Kayak Tour
Overview
Ponta da Piedade, just south of Lagos, is a maze of golden sea stacks, arches and grottoes, and the best way to see it is at water level. This guided tour starts with a short boat ride from Lagos out to the headland. From there you slide into your kayak and follow your guide through narrow channels, under rock arches and into grottoes that bigger boats can't reach.
Along the way you stop at small hidden beaches, and there's time for a swim in clear water before the boat takes you back to Lagos. Groups are kept small, and a guide shows you how to paddle before you set off, so no experience is needed.
Mornings usually bring the calmest water. Bring a swimsuit, sun cream, a hat and a light windproof layer.
