Sinai desert quad safari with camel ride and Bedouin dinner
Overview
Swap the beach for the mountains and sand of the Sinai for an afternoon. You're collected from your Sharm hotel and driven to the edge of the desert, where an instructor gives a safety briefing and fits you with your quad bike.
Then you ride for about an hour and a half along desert tracks, following your guide between rocky hills and wide sandy valleys. The convoy stops at a viewpoint to watch the sun drop behind the mountains, then carries on to a Bedouin camp as the light fades.
At camp there's a short camel ride and Bedouin herbal tea with flatbread baked over the fire. Dinner is a BBQ buffet, followed by a whirling Tanoura dance and a fire show under a sky full of stars. You're back at your hotel in the evening.
You need to be 16 or over to drive a quad. Younger children can ride as passengers with an adult. Wear closed shoes and bring a scarf for the dust.
