Evening desert safari with BBQ dinner
Overview
This is the Dubai trip almost everyone books, and for good reason. You're collected from your hotel in the afternoon and driven out to the red dunes beyond the city in a 4x4.
Your driver takes you on a dune drive, climbing and sliding over the sand, then stops so you can photograph the sunset. As the light fades you arrive at a Bedouin-style camp with carpets, cushions and lanterns. Try a short camel ride, have a henna design painted on your hand, dress up in traditional Emirati clothes for photos and sip Arabic coffee with dates.
Dinner is a BBQ buffet with vegetarian and meat dishes, followed by a Tanoura (whirling dance) performance and a fire show under the stars. You're back at your hotel by late evening.
The dune drive is bumpy by design. If you'd rather skip it, tell us and we'll suggest a gentler option.

Yes, children enjoy the camp and the shows. Infants usually aren't allowed on the dune drive, and it isn't recommended in pregnancy or with back problems.
Soft drinks, water, tea and coffee are included. Some camps sell alcohol separately; we'll confirm for your booking.
