Paleokastritsa Sea Caves Boat Trip
Overview
Paleokastritsa's coastline is best seen from the water. On this short trip, a small speedboat takes no more than nine passengers out from Alipa harbour along the limestone cliffs, nosing into sea caves where the water glows blue and the rock drips green.
Between the caves you stop at two beaches you can only really reach by boat. At Paradise Beach (Chomi) there's time for a swim in a sheltered cove below the cliffs, and at Yali Beach you have around half an hour to swim and lie in the sun. Your skipper points out the rock formations and the monastery on the headland as you go.
It's an easy, affordable way to add a bit of adventure to a day in Paleokastritsa, and it pairs well with a visit to the monastery or lunch at one of the tavernas above the harbour.
