Overview
The Verandah Antigua is a sociable all-inclusive resort on a green headland near Long Bay, on the island's unspoilt east coast. It welcomes guests aged 16 and over, so it suits couples, groups of friends and families with older teenagers.
Everyone stays in a suite or villa. Cottage-style suites of about 700 sq ft come with a private furnished verandah, and some look out over the water. Two-bedroom villas add a full kitchen, and some have their own plunge pool above Lover's Beach.
Spend the day between the resort's two beaches, Lover's Beach and Rasta Beach, and four pools. Paddleboards, kayaks, Hobie Cats and snorkelling are all included, along with pickleball, mini-golf and beach volleyball. In the evening there's live music, pool parties and silent discos.
You can eat at the Seabreeze buffet, Portofino Italian restaurant, Papa Ricco's pizzeria and two beach grills, all included. Nicole's fine-dining restaurant carries a supplement. Devil's Bridge is a short walk along the coast.
