Overview
Occidental Tucancún sits right on the beach at kilometre 14 of Kukulcán Boulevard, on the open Caribbean side of Cancún's Hotel Zone. It's a 4-star all-inclusive with 339 rooms and suites, and it's run by the Barceló Hotel Group (it used to be called Barceló Tucancún Beach).
There are three pools, one of them with sun loungers set right in the water, looking out to sea. All inclusive covers the Mirador buffet with themed dinners, plus three à la carte restaurants: La Claraboya for seafood, México Lindo for Mexican food and La Trattoria for Italian. Drinks and cocktails are served at the bars through the day.
Children have the supervised Barcy Club. For adults there's the Zenserenz Spa, with massages and hydrotherapy at extra cost, and a gym. In the evenings there are shows, including performances by a professional dance company. Double rooms are 35 m², and many face the sea; the Premium Level rooms and suites add extra space and sea views.
The airport is about 19 km away, and the Pok-Ta-Pok golf course is about 6 km along the boulevard.
