Overview
Barceló Maya Beach is a 5-star all-inclusive on a white-sand beach that runs for more than 2 km, between Puerto Aventuras and Akumal. It's part of the Barceló Maya Grand Resort, and here's the reason it's such good value: stay at any of its four hotels (Barceló Maya Colonial, Tropical, Caribe or Beach) and you can use the restaurants, pools and facilities of all of them.
The hotel has a newly designed clubhouse with reception, a lounge, a beach lobby bar and a beach buffet with a Maya theme. All inclusive covers snacks and drinks 24 hours a day and three restaurants of its own: the Beach buffet, México Lindo for Mexican food and the Rancho Grande grill. There are two pools, one for adults and one for children, and there are many more across the resort.
Children have the Barcy Kids Club and a U-Kids Spa, while adults can book the U-Spa (both cost extra). In the evening there are live shows in the theatre and a nightclub. Premium Level sea-front junior suites and suites add sea views and extra perks.
The resort is about 78 km from Cancún airport and 35 km from Tulum, with Cenote Azul and the Kantun Chi eco-park close by.
