Beachfront Resort, Santo
Overview
Lawns and gardens run down to the water at Beachfront Resort, on the Segond Channel just outside Luganville and on the site of an old Second World War American small-boat base. It's about 15 to 20 minutes from Santo-Pekoa airport and a short drive from town.
The Dolphin ocean-view rooms are individual units, each with its own balcony facing across the channel to Aore Island, air-conditioning, a fridge and tea and coffee. They sleep up to three, and a continental breakfast is included with every rate.
The Coolidge Bar & Grill serves pizzas and a blackboard menu by the pool, and the resort is a practical base for diving the SS President Coolidge and snorkelling Million Dollar Point.
