Cetina River Rafting near Omiš
Overview
The Cetina river cuts a green canyon through the mountains behind Omiš before it meets the sea, and rafting it is one of the most popular adventures on the Split riviera. It's lively enough to be fun but gentle enough for beginners and families.
After kitting up with a helmet, life jacket, wetsuit and paddle, you get a safety briefing from your certified guide and set off from the village of Zadvarje. Over about 11 km you paddle through small rapids and calm stretches, past waterfalls and cliffs, with time to jump in for a swim. The trip ends on a riverside meadow with a restaurant at Blato na Cetini.
The river is grade 2 with a few grade 3 moments, so no experience is needed, just basic fitness. Transfers from Split (about 45 minutes each way) can be added.
