Overview
The George is a contemporary 112-room design hotel in St Julian's, Malta's liveliest resort. You're a short stroll from the sandy beach at St George's Bay, the restaurants around Spinola Bay and the bars of Paceville, yet the hotel itself feels calm.
Rooms are spacious and quiet, with double glazing, a 40-inch TV, tea and coffee making facilities and Molton Brown toiletries. The penthouse suites add a sitting area and a private terrace of around 15 square metres, and there are self-catering studios of about 42 square metres with their own kitchen.
The Sky rooftop pool and bar, open from April to October, is for hotel guests only, so it rarely feels crowded. Out of season, use the heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa. Breakfast is served every morning, and La Pjazza lobby bar is a relaxed spot for a drink.
Valletta is about 6 km away and the airport about 8 km, and the main bus routes stop a short walk from the door.
