Overview
Hotel Riu Dubai is a beachfront, 24-hour all-inclusive resort on Dubai Islands, on the Deira side of the city. It's one of the easiest ways to do Dubai on a fixed budget: meals, snacks and drinks are covered, so you can save your spending money for trips out.
There are five swimming pools, and children love Splash Water World, the resort's own water park with slides. RIU Land runs activities for kids aged 4 to 7 and 8 to 12, and there's a daytime entertainment programme, RiuFit fitness classes, a gym, water sports and a spa.
Eat at the main buffet or at the themed restaurants, and relax in the bars, including a swim-up bar and a sports bar. Rooms range from doubles to junior suites, many with sea or partial sea views.
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by 12 noon. It's a good fit for families and anyone who wants beach days with city sightseeing on the side.
