Overview
Pestana Promenade opens straight onto Funchal's seafront promenade in the Lido area, a two-minute walk from the Lido pools and the sea. Tropical gardens run down to a large outdoor pool with Atlantic views, there are two children's pools, and when the evenings cool you can swim in the heated indoor pool or unwind in the whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath.
Rooms come with pool, promenade or sea views, and the suites add a separate living area. The Magic Spa offers massages, and the gym looks out over the sea and gardens.
Breakfast is a buffet in Breezes, the main restaurant; The Deck serves in the open air and Deep Blue is the à la carte option. Half board is available if you'd rather not plan every dinner. From here you can walk the promenade into central Funchal, or pick up tours and taxis for the rest of the island.
