Cordial Mogán Playa
Overview
Cordial Mogán Playa is built like a Canarian village, with rooms and two pools set among botanical gardens of more than 450 plant species, in Puerto de Mogán on Gran Canaria's south-west coast. The fishing village, known for its bridges and canals, is a quieter base than the big resorts further east, and its harbour and golden beach are both about 300 metres away.
The two pools are heated in winter and have jacuzzis, and there is a heated children's pool, a mini club for ages 4 to 12, a playground, and bowling and trampolines within the entertainment programme. Adults can use the gym, book the Inagua Spa & Wellness or join the on-site diving and bike centres (both at extra cost).
Meals are served at the Tamarona buffet, with Los Guayres for Canarian fine dining and two pool bars during the day. Book bed and breakfast or half board. Rooms open onto a terrace or balcony, and Gran Canaria airport is about 53 km away, roughly 45 minutes by road.
