Xcaret Park Day with Evening Show
Overview
Xcaret is a large nature and culture park on the coast, about 6.5 km south of Playa del Carmen, built around a real Maya site, a sea inlet and a network of cenotes. A day here is one of the most popular things to do on the Riviera Maya, especially with families.
Put on a life vest and float or snorkel through the underground rivers, which wind through caves and open-air channels to the sea. Then wander at your own pace between more than 50 attractions: a coral reef aquarium, sea turtles, a butterfly pavilion, flamingos and parrots, a recreated Maya village with craftspeople at work, and a Mexican cemetery. Watch the Papantla flyers spin down from the top of their pole, and see the Maya ball game performed.
Stay into the evening for Xcaret México Espectacular, a big show in the park's Gran Tlachco theatre. It moves through Mexico's history, music and folk dances, from the Maya to mariachi.
The park is open from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm. Children aged 0–4 go in free. Tell us whether you'd like to add return transfers or a ticket that includes the buffet.
