Kayak and Snorkel with Turtles, Los Cristianos
Overview
Paddle out from the beach at Los Cristianos in a sea kayak with a licensed guide, following the coast in calm, clear water. After a stretch of paddling you stop, put on a mask and snorkel, and swim for around half an hour, looking for the sea turtles that feed along this coast along with rays, octopus and shoals of fish. On some trips dolphins pass by too.
Kayaks take two adults and a child, and children from six can join with an adult. No experience is needed: the guide explains the basics on the beach before you set off. Life jackets, snorkelling masks and suits are provided, and there are lockers for your things.
A shuttle can collect you from the area between Callao Salvaje and Golf del Sur, which covers most south Tenerife resorts. Photos of your trip can be bought afterwards.
