Vila Galé Tavira is in the heart of Tavira, one of the Algarve's most traditional towns, a short walk from the Gilão river, the old bridge and the churches and squares of the old town. From here it's easy to catch the ferry or a boat trip to Ilha de Tavira, the long island beach in the Ria Formosa, or to drive to Praia do Barril.

Meals are served at Versátil, the main restaurant, with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Soul & Blues Bar opens in the evening, and the Splash Pool Bar runs from June to September.
